 Greetings Football Fans,
For all of you who bought my picks last week, you know that I went 5-2 in College and 3-2-1 in the Pros. The total being 8-4-1. Not bad for a tough week as far as I was concerned. And of course one of the college losses was Maryland who was clearing in the driver’s seat with a 21-3 lead going into the fourth quarter. You win some; you lose some.
Heading into week 5 in College it appears the big boys are raising their not so ugly heads and starting to punish those who they are supposed to be punishing. Last week, Ohio State, USC, Oklahoma,Texas, etc really laid the lumber. (Ohio State was my Free Pick-58-7.
I expect similar things to continue as running up the score is now important to those teams deaming of BCA Bowls as the BCS committee does look at how much a team annihilates another. So don’t look for any kindness in the College ranks.
But in the NFL, things are a bit different.
In the NFL I am seeing a definite trend. You know how easy it is to take favorites in the Pros. It’s like “Baltimore is gonna kill Arizona or “How can Houston stay with Indy.” Well they didn’t and they did.
In fact last week in the NFL the dogs were 12-4. 12-4! That’s amazing. So be careful taking those games that look like they are so simple.
NFL teams take a lead to the grave, running the clock out and playing it safe. There is no running up the score. That’s why they are supposed to be pros.
I suggest you jump on board and buy my picks for the coming weekend. I have several games, 7 in fact, that look like sure bets. But with fumbles, interceptions and those zebras running around, who knows?

Purdue is (4-0, 4-0), SU & ATS , at home against Michigan State
Colorado State is 5-14 ATS on the road.
Boise State on the road against Utah State is (6-1,7-0)
Utah is off a bye and (3-1,3-1) and HT + 6-0 ATS in series
Auburn is 13-2 SU on the road in SEC-Unbelievable ! Plus they are (4-1,4-1) at Georgia. Plus it’s a Revenge game. What else do you need?
Ohio State held Wisconsin to 12 yards rushing and Illinois has no passing game.
NFL
Minnesota +6- the dog in this series is 17-3 ATS
The Giants are (7-3,7-3) against Dallas
